SUMMARY:MI Women With Altitude 2026
DESCRIPTION:Women with Altitude is a Mountaineering Ireland initiative to encourage women to take on greater challenges in mountaineering\, be they personal challenges\, technical or leadership challenges. Established in 2011\, this initiative promotes and facilitate women’s participation by providing support with skills training and leadership development\, inspirational role models and opportunities to network. \nThe event includes workshops ranging from hiking to navigation to multi-pitch climbing. DESCRIPTION:July 5th & 6th 2025 – The IMC are going cliff climbing at Ailladie in the Burren Co Clare\, shorter & easier climbing is also available across the road at Ballyryan as well as bouldering near Doolin & plenty of hiking everywhere \n \nCampsites at Fanore Caravan Park or Nagles in Doolin\, both are about 15 minutes drive from the climbing crags\, Nagles is closer for boulderers \nGood weather is being arranged so Surfing\, Swimming and Sun worshipping can all be enjoyed at Fanore Beach \nOpen to IMC club members who can trad climb HS and above\, the climbs at Ailladie cliffs are high in the grade\, Ballyryan is fairly graded \nHillwalking\, Hiking\, Bouldering\, Sport Climbing\, Rock Climbing\, Mountaineering and other related activities can be dangerous and may result in personal injury or death. Each club member should be aware of and accept these risks and are responsible for your own actions and involvement \n

DESCRIPTION:Limited spaces available – First come first serve! \nJoin for a geology / environmental walk in Wicklow with Dr Anthea Lacchia who is a geologist and mountain leader.
