The IMC Luggala Meet
May 26 @ 10:15 am - 5:00 pm
Only a stones throw from Dublin and overlooking the Guinness estate, Luggala is probably Wicklows most under-used crag. Offering long, adventurous climbs, at a reasonable grade. It’s a great place to hone your multi-pitch and route finding skills for anyone thinking of heading off to the alps come summertime.
The plan is to meet at the “Pier Gates” on the R759 above Lough Tay (there is a limited amount of parking at the Gates and a larger car park is just up the road). We will leave there at 10.15 and walk in to the crag (it takes about 45 minutes) and climb for the rest of the day. If you are planning on joining be aware that the routes tend to wonder with many traverse sections so it’s best if both leader and second are comfortable at about VS or above.
