Renew Membership

IMC Membership subscriptions are renewed annually and the Club subscription year starts on 1st November and ends on 31st October following year. All members have additional 2 months (November – December) to renew their membership before it lapses.

Your membership is valid from the date when the payment is received and processed (usually within 3-7 working days) till the end of current membership year. Example: a membership paid today will expire on 31st October 2020 and cease on 31st December 2020.

September 1st opens the renewal time – all new members can benefit from IMC & MI membership up to 14 months in their first year of membership.

All existing members have time window between 1st September and 31st December to renew, please consider renewing at the earliest opportunity for the ease of administration and planning. If you have not renewed by 31st December your membership will lapse and you will no longer be able to participate in Club activities. Your exclusive access to the Forum and IMC WhatsApp Group will cease.

We use the GroupSpaces website to administer your personal and membership details together with your preferences and take subscriptions via PayPal. PayPal is the default method but we offer alternative methods (online bank transfer, cash or cheque) too, please consider the alternatives and get in touch with Membership Officer if any questions.

To renew membership, please follow these steps:

  1. REVIEW & UPDATE YOUR DETAILS on GroupSpaces here.
    First, please review & update your current details held on GroupSpaces. Set up your membership preferences that are reset on your account annually. If you have changed address, please also ensure your Mountaineering Ireland details are correct here.
  2. PAY YOUR SUBSCRIPTION FEE by selecting the appropriate subscription type here.  
    Follow the steps to complete the PayPal transaction. If you wish to pay by other means (online bank transfer, cash or cheque), please see details below.
    The Membership Officer will process your membership usually within 3-7 working days upon receipt of payment.

  • Concession Membership (Unwaged/Student/Senior): €50
  • Individual Membership for Already Existing MI Members: €32
  • Joint Membership (2 members residing at the same address): €110
