This work usually involves hiking up the mountain, moving heavy materials around the project site and a mixture of building small timber dams, laying out coir rolls or sheep wool blankets, spreading heather brash or erecting sheep fencing.

Please be aware that the sites are usually a good hour or more hike over very steep and uneven terrain which can be boggy and difficult so a good level of fitness and experience hillwalking is essential.

If you prefer clearing gorse you can do so next Saturday (another option on the form, good gardening gloves needed).
