How Do I Create a “New Members” List?

Once the opportunity to renew current membership is past (that is, from 1st February) it is useful to maintain a list of (what could be[*] regarded as) New Members.  The easiest way to do this is view the GroupSpaces members database sorted by descending Joined date (i.e. most recent first). This link will get you that list, you can then individually select all the members, from the top down, that you wish to add to the New members list.

Having highlighted the required members click on the “More Actions:” drop down list at the top left and select from within the “Add to list:” section, either adding to an existing list or creating a new one.

Note that you can do no harm by adding someone to a list even if they are already on it.  Once the list is created it can be appended to as & when required.

[*] This describes how to add all members who have joined since a certain date, however, it may be more useful to distinguish between genuine new members and those that are just ex-members who forgot to renew.  This is obviously possible using the same process but requires more care when selecting members.
