We recently learnt that access to Luggala has been cut off. Noel was able to confirm this with Mountainering Ireland who confirmed that the new owners have closed it but on a temporary basis
In summary…
- access if not possible at the moment. The gates are locked, probation signs are posted and a guard in on duty.
- regular communication between Helen (MI) and the new owners is on going, ie weekly.
- the owners cite bracken clearance and on site filming as the reasons for restrictions.
- a re-opening date has not been established.
The core message is not if they will re open, but when?
So as not to jeopardise the re opening I would like to ask each of us to respect the current situation
