Photos of the crag, near Ashford, Co. Wicklow.
The photos of Bonfire Buttress in our recent newsletter were in black and white, so I have reproduced some of them here, in colour, as the details are clearer.
The first shot is of the buttress, taken from the edge of the forest road. The approach goes rightwards from here on a small path, heading, at first, towards the right-hand end of the crag (this end is rather broken, and of little interest).

The next shot is of the extreme left-hand end of the crag. This short, steep wall may be of interest to boulderers.

This next shot shows the first 3 routes, All Fired Up, VS4b, Burning Ambition VS4c and the start of Heather Blazing S4b.

This shot shows Heather Blazing VS4b and Phoenix VS4c/5a. All of these routes are to the left of the main overhang].

The final shot is of the remaining route Unquenchable Fire HS4a. This route is just right of the main overhang.
