How Do I Add Events And Update Pages On The Website?
Our website is written using WordPress which facilitates fairly easy management of simple things like managing web pages & blog entries and creating events.
To gain access to all this you need to start at the WordPress Dashboard:

On the left hand side you will various options (depending on your access rights). Posts refers to blog posts, Events is self-evident and Pages are the actual webpages that make up the site.
Maintaining sections of the website does require some very minimal technical and literary skill, as well as a commitment to stick to standards, so a training session may be needed if you are not computer literate. If you are unable to do this and would like the Webmaster to show you how to maintain your section of the site, that can be arranged.
All committee members should keep an eye on the areas of the website that are relevant to their roles, and make sure they are accurate and up-to-date and reflect the message that they want to send.
As a committee member you have been given editing access, please use it. If you are having problems, get in touch with the Webmaster and they will walk you through the updating process. If you are unsure of anything, please contact our Webmaster(webmaster@irishmountaineeringclub.org).
