Again this year we are running the Nice Meet from Monday 2nd of November to 7th.
This is a great meet for all grades of climbers, it has a great choice of easier routes for less experienced people.
The best selection of climbing in France is here in the Nice area at St Jeannet, which is 30 minutes by bus from Nice airport.
Its main face has a total of ten long multi pitch climbs ( 10/14 pitch) at grade 5+ or under, and another twenty at the higher grades.
For those who prefer single pitch sports climbing St Jeannet also has the La Source area, which boasts another 70 single pitch climbs at grade 4 & 5 and possibly another 500 at higher grades.
For those that fancy some Deep Water Soloing there is Beaulieu and there is also some spectacular climbing on the crags overlooking the Harbour of Monaco .
We are planning on heading to St Jeannet first where we will stay for 4 nights climbing for 3 days. Then a one hour bus journey brings us back to Nice on the 6th and we then climb at La Turbie (overlooking Monaco) . The plan on the Saturday is to climb at the wonderful hilltop village of Gorbio, this has very interesting long single pitch climbing and lots of easier short routes for those starting to climb.
Flights to Nice return approx. €120
Transport in South of France local bus. Costs total €10
Accommodation St Jeannet Gite and Hostel in Nice near the old town, total accommodation cost expected to be approx. €130 for the 6 nights including the transfer by coach from the Airport to St Jeannet.
This is open to all climbing levels, the venues have been chosen to accommodate beginners and advanced climbers, and the deep water soloing on the Med for the swimmers!
